Postmodern Art Club is proud to present Palimpsest: Works on Paper, a group exhibition exploring the tension between mark-making and erasure, surface and memory, legibility and resistance.
Borrowing its name from the term palimpsest — a surface made to be written over, layered with traces of prior inscriptions — the exhibition brings together contemporary artists who approach paper not as a blank canvas, but as a contested site of presence, absence, and reconstruction.
Together, the works in Palimpsest trace the possibilities of the paper surface — as an archive, a battlefield, a wound, a witness. Each artist draws attention to what is remembered, obscured, or lost in translation, revealing how even the simplest mark is charged with contradiction.
