Supporting Artists, Creating New Work
About Artist Commission Program
The Artist Commission Program is at the heart of Postmodern Art Club. Its purpose is simple but powerful: to give artists the freedom to create work they've always wanted to make, without compromise, without waiting for permission, and without the constraints of traditional institutions.
Each commission is an investment in artistic autonomy. We invite artists to respond to ideas, themes, or moments in ways that are uniquely their own, granting them full creative control. The results are works that are experimental, risktaking, and deeply connected to the present cultural moment.
How It's Funded
Every artwork sold and every membership joined directly contributes to the Commission Program. A portion of all profits is reinvested back into funding commissions.
When you buy from Postmodern Art Club or join as a member, you're not just collecting art - you're helping fund the conditions that allow artists to create.
Past Commissions
Our inaugural commission invited artists to respond to the theme of Reform, resulting in original works that explored identity, memory, and cultural transformation. More recently, we commissioned a zine for the exhibition Things, giving an artist the chnace to create an experimental, accessible artwork that's already circulate through our community.
How to Get Involved
Are you an artist interested in being commissioned? We run an open submission process throughout the year. Share your practice with us, and we'll be in touch if there's alignment with upcoming commissions.
