Making
Sense

Artist-led making sessions by PoMo Art Club — August to December 2026

A ceramic vessel holds something ephemeral. A book keeps photographs, notes, a handwriting that outlasts the moment. A drawing is a trace, proof that you looked at something long enough to mark it down. Making Sense is a monthly series of hands-on sessions built around these objects. Each session takes one ordinary material and slows it down long enough to make something by hand. The idea is simple: making something changes how you see it.

We spend most of our days moving past the things around us without really looking. Making Sense slows that down. Each session gives you two hours to understand one material differently through your hands, through observation, through the quiet work of paying attention.

Two hours per session hosted at Eva Surry Hills. Drinks and snacks included. No experience needed, just curiosity. Spots are limited to 12 per session.
