Cyanotype Booklet-Making Workshop
Cyanotype printing & hand-stitched bookbinding
Spend the weekend with us making things.
This relaxed, hands-on workshop invites you to slow down, work with sunlight, paper, and thread, and enjoy an afternoon of making in good company. Over the session, you’ll create a cyanotype-printed cover and bind it into a small, hand-stitched booklet — a tactile object to take home and live with.
We’ll guide you through the cyanotype process, using light to explore composition, layering, and tone. Each participant will work within a single range of Prussian blue, contributing to a quiet collective rhythm as the booklets come together by the end of the session.
Complementary drinks will be provided by @dearlily___., so you can settle in, take your time, and enjoy the process.
During the workshop, you’ll:
-
Experiment with composition and layering to create a cyanotype cover
-
Use sunlight to expose, wash, and reveal your print
-
Fold and prepare interior pages
-
Learn a simple hand-stitching technique to bind your booklet
-
Assemble a finished, handmade object to take home
No prior experience is required. All materials are provided.
Just bring your curiosity — and spend the afternoon with us.
